After surrendering its quintuple rollover jackpot to a single winning ticket in the midweek draw on, the game gave players a new standard-sized jackpot of €15/£12 million to try and win on . That kind of money is quite familiar to fans, but astute players are still very aware that it is an incredible sum when viewed from a broader perspective, so once again demand for tickets was high, as were the hopes of someone winning the jackpot in time for the weekend. The EuroMillions results for 22nd 2013 were as follows…

As high as hopes were on Friday night, they didn’t translate to anyone succeeding at the jackpot level because no player was able to match all seven of the numbers that were drawn. Three tickets fell just onenumber short of winning the top prize, and each of those landed a second-tier prize of €512,861 instead, which is a pretty impressive consolation! Another nine tickets won €56,985/£38,199 each by matching five main numbers only.
33 tickets matched four main numbers and both of the Lucky Star numbers to win €7,771/£5,209 each, and the total number of prizes landed was 2,340,035. Irish lottery players were celebrating last night after one ticket matched all five of the EuroMillions Plus numbers to win the top prize of €500,000, which is only a shade less than the second-tier prize in the main EuroMillions game. 50 tickets matched four EuroMillions Plus numbers to win €2,000 each, and another 1,774 tickets won €20 each by matching three of the numbers drawn.
Friday’s EuroJackpot game followed the EuroMillions lead by giving players a jackpot rollover. One ticket matched all five main numbers plus one of the Euro numbers to win €380,823/£328,270, two tickets won €49,507/£42,675 each by matching five main numbers only, and over 366,000 tickets won smaller prizes worth up to €4,810/£4,147 each. The next EuroJackpot game on Friday 1st March will offer a jackpot of around €17 million.
Congratulations to all of the players who won a lottery prize on Friday night, and good luck to those of you who are hoping to win big in one of the Saturday lottery games this evening!
